Community Builders Program - Dungog and Surrounds Youth Council - 3 March

DUNGOG COMMUNITY BUILDERS - YOUTH COUNCIL

EVENT - 3 MARCH

DDCC is proud to be auspicing the Community Builders led Dungog and Surrounds Youth Council. This newly formed body is comprised of a group of young people from around the Dungog Shire and Stroud Community between the ages of 12 and 25, with  expert adult guidance by Cheryl Royle and helpers. We certainly wish them well and offer our support.

We welcome Out Back Mike to Dungog as part of this youth initiative to entertain and inspire. Also an opportunity to raise funds to enable some of our young people to attend Wangat Youth Camp in July. Members of the Youth Council will be in attendance to assist with BBQ etc.

Please see invitation below for a family night out to the screening of this powerful film, and get to meet Out Back Mike in person.

Outback Mike featured on the survival TV series Alone Australia — surviving in extreme isolation using skill, mindset and resilience.

His film follows an incredible real expedition:
building a dugout canoe by hand and paddling it 1,500km up the Great Barrier Reef coastline, facing weather, isolation and the unknown.

🎬 The documentary runs for 85 minutes followed by a 25-minute live talk and Q&A (M rating)

A powerful night about resilience, mental health, backing yourself and dealing with pressure — real experiences, real lessons, no filters.
