07 Jan Busy Trading Following Christmas and Boxing Day
Despite severe deterioration in our weather conditions over the last week, businesses have reported a busy trading period following Christmas and Boxing Day holidays. Whilst accommodation bookings seemed a little low, once again campers and recreational vehicles we certainly out and about. There were also a consistent stream of day visitors to the Shire particularly following the Christmas and Boxing Day holidays.
So here’s to a successful and prosperous 2016 for the Dungog Shire business community. We have lots on the agenda in 2016 including development of a new chamber website, our annual business awards in May together with our monthly dinner meetings at venues throughout the Dungog Shire.
We have kicked off on a positive note welcoming on board three new members to the Chamber of Commerce, The Erringhi Hotel, Clarence Town, Barrington Tops Development Pty Limited and Dungog by Design.
We are also happy to announce that Michael Johnsen MP, Member for the Upper Hunter will be our guest at the first Chamber dinner meeting for 2016. The event will be a garden cocktail party to be held at Country Elegance Gardens and Gifts 103 Hooke Street, Dungog on Thursday 11 February, 2015 at 6.30pm.
