Preparations are well under way for the nib Dungog District Business Awards which will take place at the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall on Saturday 27 June, 2015. With hundreds of businesses nominated from throughout the Dungog Shire these awards recognise the important role that businesses and community organisations play in our lives. Tickets have just about sold out and we are very much look forward to our gala evening presented in conjunction with the Clarence Town School of Arts celebrating their Centenary this year.
Another great event coming up at the James Theatre on Thursday 18 June, 2015 is the Dungog High School and Friends Flood Mud Concert. With free entry, all donations will go the Dungog Flood relief fund. Get ready for some great local talent as our past and present students join with the Primary Schools and other local groups for a night of entertainment in what is sure to be a great community event.
The recent storms in the Hunter Region are just an example of a disruption event that in some cases turned into a business disaster. The Business Centre Newcastle have now scheduled a Business Recovery Workshop in Dungog on Wednesday 19 August, 2015.The Business Recovery Workshops are designed to support Hunter business owners and equip them with valuable business information to manage any disaster situations faced into the future.
